The Worst President in American History

Polipundit is loaded with good stuff today, including the latest outrage from Peanut Man, who clearly is now head and shoulders above Millard Fillmore, Warren G. Harding, and even the Schlickmeister himself, Bill Clinton, as the absolute worst President ever in the history of this great country. As Curly would say, ob-zoiv:
Former President Jimmy Carter said Tuesday night that an agreement he brokered 12 years ago for North Korea to halt nuclear weapons development is “in the wastebasket.” Carter contends the Bush administration turned its back on the deal and labeled the isolated nation part of an “axis of evil.”
Right. What this pompous, condescending ass fails to realize that the North Korea agreement he "negotiated" (read "was snookered into") was "in the wastebasket" the day it was signed. But like Bill Clinton, the man who'd sent him to Pyongyang, Carter apparently still believes that you can "negotiate" with congenital liars who just happen to be Commies as well, where lying to capitalist pigs is an article of faith. Because, somewhere in the Marxian dialectic, lying to capitalists, who are subhuman animals, is not lying at all, since, say, lying to your dog is of no consequence. Furthermore, since Marxists get to define reality, lying in such an instance, constitutes the truth because the party and the Dear Leader said so.

The naiveté of both Carter and Clinton became stunningly obvious when the Bushies discovered North Korea's nuclear shenanigans on their watch, and wisely called the Commies on it. The Bushies also did the logical thing, establishing two principles they have yet to violate:
  • No more one-on-one negotiations with congenital, proven liars. Only negotiations involving all of North Korea's neighbors, whose own self interests dictate in favor of North Korean containment.
  • No agreements or exchanges without absolute safeguards and enforcement mechanisms that cannot be easily evaded.
Rational human beings have to understand that today's international thugs like North Korean and Iran learned long ago the successful "negotiating" tactic perfected by the North Vietnamese, who "negotiated" in "good faith" while continuing to slaughter civilians and improve their positions. "Negotiation" to Marxists, is merely a slow motion stall that enables them to continue aggression while hobbling their enemies thus ensuring eventual defeat.

North Korea learned this lesson long ago, and Iran is executing on it pretty well now. Since Western sanctions have failed (predictably) to materialize, Iran is encouraged to follow North Korea's successful path to continuing aggression, since the Iranians now know that all Western threats (except maybe Bush's) are idle threats. The late Yasser Arafat had learned this lesson well also, as he created the appearance of reasonableness first with Carter and later with Clinton, snookering Clinton at the last possible moment and dashing off to start the intifada that now outlives him.

The left longs for "reasonable" "negotiated" solutions with bums and thugs because they know that they are dealing, in a way, with fellow travelers who are merely trying to snooker the capitalist West once again. It is increasingly clear, as appalling as it may sound, that the only way to solve the problems in North Korea and Iran is to flatten a few cities. This is the only language thugs like this understand and it is foolish to imagine otherwise. Like high school bullies, thugs simply have to be beaten to a bloody pulp in order to gain respect for their opponents.

But this doesn't matter. It's all Bush's fault anyway, since he's not "negotiating." We know this is true, because Jimmy Carter, the chump who enabled the rise of Iran's "Islamic Republic," says so.

UPDATE: The despicable Marxist fifth-columnist quadrillionaire, George Soros, blames Bush, too. It will be interesting at some point in the future, after the Benedict Arnolds are ousted from the CIA and the FBI, to discover which foreign government is actively aiding Soros and his fellow seditionists.
