Texas officials renewed warnings Friday about pirates marauding on a U.S.-Mexico border lake after a Colorado tourist was gunned down in Mexican waters while his wife dodged bullets and raced her Jet Ski back to American soil.The incident happened near Laredo. The reservoir-lake straddles the U.S.-Mexican border although the demarcation line is not always clear. It's the second such incident in the past several months. The remains of the tourist have yet to be recovered. The Fox piece details how these "pirates" are almost certainly in the employ of Mexican drug cartels.
We've said this before and we'll say it again. Already on the increase, this kind of border violence is only going to get worse.
