Lots of politics and natural disasters to talk about this week, but I've been busy reviewing music over the last couple of days. Check out my Washington Times Communities review of the National Symphony Orchestra's performance of Olivier Messiaen's amazing Turangalila Symphony as well as my backgrounder on the strange electronic ondes Martenot that's used in this 1949 modernist epic. It's entitled "Where Messiaen and Radiohead converge."
And you thought classical music was stodgy.
