Murtha Bad-Mouths the US Again

Check this out from the South Florida Sun-Sentinel:
American presence in Iraq is more dangerous to world peace than nuclear threats from North Korea or Iran, Rep. John Murtha, D-Pa., said to an audience of more than 200 in North Miami Saturday afternoon.
Yep, the US is still busy destroying the world again, isn't it Congressman? Just like Vietnam, where we slaughtered the peace-loving Vietcong and North Vietnamese. Who knew?

Murtha, who is beginning to exhibit the symptoms of Alzheimers Disease in Wonker's opinion, has ruled for years in one of those Pennsylvania districts that mindlessly elect Democrats-for-Life regardless of whether they damage the country or not. So this is what you get. C'mon Pennsylvanians, cut the crap and give this guy the hook this fall. Surely, you're not buying this. Voters? You there??

You know, Murtha is one of the GOP's best campaign tools. GOP strategists have to be giggling themselves silly every time this guy gets press. What an incredible stroke of luck for the Republicans that this guy, who has been in the Demo shadows since being at the center of a bribery scandal two decades back, suddenly has his star rising, and is out there day after day with his winning-is-not-an-option message.

Don't get me wrong, I know that there are a number of domestic America haters that eat Murtha's message up, but the John Wayne portion of the psyche of every real American wants to kick this coward's butt. I'd almost acuse the MSM of secretly being GOP operatives, what with the pominence they accord this has-been's pronouncements, but too many in the MSM are too convincing in the America hater role for me to believe that. I can only surmise that they genuinely like his run-away message.

Thanks for your comments, reach and chancuff!

As I've just indicated, I'm only just now getting back in action after rotator cuff surgery. In the meantime, forgive the occasional brevity and typos, as the finger won't always do what I want right now and it's easier just to keep going.

Re: Reach. I actually agree with your point, which is at least part of the reason I posted this story. While the MSM is proclaiming that Murtha will hold on to his hereditary Pennsylvania seat this fall, they are not reporting the gains his young, attractive Republican opponent has been scoring on him. Saw an interesting TV feature, probably on Fox (still taking Percoset, so forgive if I'm not 100% accurate here!), interviewing Murtha constituents, who love him to a person, apparently. But then they mentioned Murtha's latest comments on the War, and got a 180 degree turn, particularly from the ex-veterans. None, interestingly, had really heard about the anti-patriotic and a-historical prattle that has defined Murtha's recent pronouncements. MSM derelict in its duty once again? Naaah...

Re: Chancuff. Thanks for the comments and the suggestions, particularly about linking to the moral equivalent of Permalink pages. In the Sentinal link we originally accessed, there wasn't the option for a Permalink, at least when we checked it, so going that way wasn't an option. Some sites are more sophisticated than others (or more devious) so it's not always possible to do a Permalink, which is distressing, since, if you try to go back over your own web archives to construct a story or a timeline and check the link, it's, well, like the library book that's gone missing.

One of the glories of the web is that in a blog, for example, you can correct an error or a spelling mistake live rather than letting it stand as in dead tree media. But this cuts two ways, as MSM's habitual liars and revisionists can revise an early story out of existence, much in the way the old Soviet Union used to censor its own newspapers and reference works.

In point of fact, for those who came in late, Wonker himself is a journo of longstanding, having worked (and continuing to work) on a contractual basis with one of America's great newspapers. (We won't say which one!) It ain't amateur hour here. Our job at HazZzMat is primarily to interpret news and, above all, expose the clever, Gramscian and Marxist verbiage used by the left to twist stories and facts out of all recognition. With their brains turned to mush by the leftists in the school system, successive generations of Americans are less and less able to detect these tricks, and it's our job to expose what's going on.

Thus, this site is less about original reporting than it is about exposing the devious word and thought craft of the left.

Just thought you'd like to know. And keep up the good work.

There are a whole lot more things going on behind the scenes with this story than have yet been reported, anywhere. Quite a few people far beyond Ms. Baier and her editor Ms. Rosenhause have shot themselves in the foot.

Write Diana Irey, John Murtha's Republican oponent, asking her about the letter I sent her today.

Looking at the large number of blog posts I've placed throughout the blogsphere in the last 2 weeks, I'm sure I'm not alone in thinking they look like spam.

My apologies to all.

Some interesting things happened today. I received an email response from Bill Pasco(e) of Diana Irey's campaign against John Murtha for the 12th District of Pennsylvania seat in the House of Representatives.

In responding Mr. Pascoe's email, I found it useful to CC that response to him to Elizabeth Baier and her editor Ms. Rosenhause (Managing Editor Sun-Sentinel).

The topic of those emails was "Rovian Architecture Unplugged". If you are interested to learn more, feel free to write them.

Make "Rovian Architechure Unplugged" your subject heading so they know what your inquiry is about.
