How a Lie Becomes the Truth

As per our previous posts here and here: if you and your friends tell a lie loud enough and long enough it will become the perceived truth. For example, Mother Sheehan is a patriot who cares about our soldiers. The continuing crisis in the Middle East is all about Halliburton. Al Gore invented the Internet. Etc.

Now, Instapundit outlines the latest iteration of manufactured truth from the Left's Ministers of Propaganda:
ONE OF THE THINGS I'VE NOTICED in the Judy Miller / Scooter Libby coverage is the development of a new history that's very convenient for a lot of the people peddling it. The new story is that:
1. We only went to war because of WMDs -- that was the only reason ever given.
2. Bush lied about those.
3. He told his lies to Judy Miller, who acted like a stenographer and reported them.
4. Everyone else gullibly went along.

Brilliant stuff with plenty of links to back it up. Read all about it.
