Moses Pointing To School Vouchers?

While pundits and academics argue away, the quiet sucking sound you don't yet hear are African-American families leaving our public schools when allowed to do so....Black Flight, Michael Strong, TCS Daily

Stories like these must keep the National Educational Association's well-heeled leadership up at night. If their monopoly is busted by charter, private, and parochial schools, who will pay the dues to keep them well-shod? But one can imagine the oratory about "ungrateful nonwhite disadavantaged persons" behind closed doors. But it's not surprising. Why?

In any market, when the service or the product becomes shoddy and delivered with an air of "try and find this anywhere else, sucker" a common, in fact the most human, response is to look for a competitor's service or product. While this will disappoint the troubled management of both the Democrat Party and General Motors, it's not always price that matters. If your product kills people, or ruins their lives, people will even pay a higher price for something better. As Democrats in Ohio are discovering, this can have very frightening possibilities. Someone might not choose your candidate! Someone might not buy into your "child centered" school.

The tide keeps coming in higher and higher every year. In the next decade we will reach a tipping point in school choice.
