NASA's St. Ignatius Hansen?

"Make no doubt, however, if tipping points are passed, if we, in effect, destroy Creation, passing on to our children, grandchildren, and the unborn a situation out of their control...the 'royalty' controlling the court, the ones with the power, the ones with the ability to make a difference, with the ability to change our course, the ones who will live in infamy if we pass the tipping points, are the captains of industry, CEOs in fossil fuel companies such as EXXON/Mobil, automobile manufacturers, utilities, all of the leaders who have placed short-term profit above the fate of the planet and the well-being of our children...."Terry Heinz's Favorite Scientist (James Hansen), quoted by Bill Steigenwald, Front Page Magazine, 10/4/2007

These kinds of unsupported ravings, whether from Father Coughlin or "Reverend" Jones, used to be the butt of jokes at best and FBI investigations at worst. This Soros client, James Hansen, former director of the Goddard Center for NASA, has been at this for nearly twenty years, a paradigm of the "global warming" "consensus," with misinterpreted, deliberately misleading, or wholly fabricated data, and Doomsday warnings. One could fairly call Hansen the Pope of the Church of Global Warming.

Yet, as Steigenwald puts it succinctly:

Ordinarily, ravings like this would raise doubts about a scientist's credibility -- if not destroy it forever. But so far Hansen's soulmates in the media either haven't noticed or don't care. (Teresa Heinz's Favorite Scientist, continued...)

Those well-versed, or even half-versed, in the ravings of the Democrats re Iraq or any of half a dozen other issues, shouldn't be surprised by this. If a Democrat opens its mouth, you can rest assured that a reporter will pop out, mouthing the Democrat's words as "news."
